I presume you knew they moved almost immediately after marriage to Linn Co., Iowa. They are there in the 1850 census. Looks like Lyman died between 1870 & 1880. She is living with her son E.K. in 1880

Serepta died 7 Jul 1906 in Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., IA. Her death record says she was born 5 Jan 1824 in Ohio daughter of William and Serepta Minter.

I found her in all the census records up to 1880 but can't find her in 1900. Likely she is still living with one of her children but I found one, Scott and she is not with him. Looks like she and Lyman had at least 7 children.

There are several Wm. Minters in Madison Co. in 1850. The most likely one to be her father is the one born 1778 in PA. His wife is listed as Mary on the 1850 Census. The other Wms. would have been old enough to have a daughter born 1824. You might check the earlier census to see if they have a daughter of the right age.

I've also posted this reply on the Madison Co. bulletin board of my new (under construction) website, http://www.genealogy3.com/
